Graz is famous for its extensive cultural offers which vary from trendy street parties to shows at the Graz Opera House and many other forms of art and theatre. Thanks to its many museums, galleries and architecture, the city is a true display of a hip, cultural revival. Nature is also very important in Graz: Stadtpark, Schlossberg or Burggarten are just some of the numerous parks and green areas which invite you to relax and meet friends, young and old.

Our top attractions in Graz:

  • The clock tower is Grazer’s most famous landmark. Its 28-meter structure stands high above the old town on Schlossberg, making its way into Schlossbergstollen, the largest underground slide in the world.
  • Murinsel: This floating platform will transform the middle of the city into a holiday destination. The impressive steel structure resembles a half-open shell.
  • Kunsthaus Graz, is an outstanding contemporary art museum and an architectural eye-catcher also known as “the hippo baby”, “sea slug” or “whale”.

Graz is one of the most popular student cities in Austria. The federal state capital of Styria offers four universities, two colleges and two universities of Applied Sciences. The almost 300.000 inhabitants of this city (50.000 of which are students) truly enjoy its mild climate, great leisure facilities and proximity to the Styrian wine country.

Frequently Asked Questions

The monthly rental prices at STUWO Graz start at € 469 per month for your own room in a Three-person apartment. Single apartments are available from € 645 per month. Depending on the category, the apartments have fully, partially or, on request, unfurnished rooms, a bathroom, toilet and kitchen. The operating costs such as heating, hot water, electricity and internet are already included here.

As soon as a room or apartment in your preferred category and for your desired period becomes available, you will receive an offer from us by email.

If you would like to accept the offer, you can pay the deposit and the first monthly fee within 3 working days via the payment link in the email.

This will make the room bindingly reserved for you.

You will then receive the contract from us by email.

Please return it signed as soon as possible so that your booking can be finalized.

If payment is not made within 3 working days, the offer will expire and the room or apartment may be offered to other interested parties again.

Existing residents can conveniently have the monthly fee collected by SEPA direct debit.

At STUWO Student City you get support when it comes to cleaning your room and apartment. We offer you a free and regular basic cleaning. This includes cleaning the floor and surfaces as well as the bathroom and toilet.

Our STUWO accommodation “Student City Graz” and “Smart Living Graz” are located near the FH Joanneum. In just 8 minutes you are from the student dormitory “Student City”, or in just 2 minutes from the dorm “Smart Living” at the FH. It takes between 15 and 20 minutes to go to Karl-Franzens, the Technical or Medical University and the University of Music and Performing Arts.
