1. Café Gerberei

Café Gerberei is a popular spot for students. The colourful restaurant with a retro touch is a welcome change of scenery during exam period. To ensure that you can focus on studying, you need culinary support, which you will definitely get at café Gerberei: tea, coffee, homemade pastry and snacks such as organic flatbread. Of course there is also free WIFI!

2. Die Bohne – Unser Café

5. Café Traxlmayr

Address: Promenade 16, 4020 Linz

Opening hours: Mon-Sat 8:00am-10:00pm, Sun 9:00am-10:00pm

Café Traxlmayr is a traditional coffee house that has been serving customers since 1847. Not only its historic charm, but also the homemade pastry, warm sweet dishes, for example Kaiserschmarrn (traditional Austrian dish like scrambled pancake), and the excellent coffee make a visit at café Traxlmayr a must. Studying is easier in the cozy coffee house atmosphere and with free WIFI.

Tip: If the weather is nice outside, we recommend to move your study sessions onto the cute terrace!

6. JKU Teichwerk

Right next to the Johannes Kepler University is the JKU Teichwerk, a popular student restaurant that also makes a great café to study. The biggest advantage is obviously that it’s so close to university. You can continue studying in-between lectures or after a class after getting a hot coffee and delicious snacks such as a Tarte Flambée with salmon. Vegans can get their favourite coffee with soy milk!

Tip: The JKU Teichwerk is also ideal for a breakfast before university!

7. Le BonBon Café

The family café Le BonBon Café makes a short trip to France possible. Its guests will be served French specialities. From croissants to macrons and baguettes – everything you could wish for! 8. Café Schadzi
