Lambach Austria: 7 popular ski resorts near Lambach on the Traun

There are numerous ski resorts in Upper Austria. Many of those ski resorts are easily accessible by car from the municipality Lambach Austria. 1. Hochplett lifts Oberaschau

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 40 minutes by car

Address: Oberaschau 8, 4882 Oberwang

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 9 am to 4:15 pm; Tuesday and Friday 6:15 pm to 8:30 pm (floodlit) (December to April)

The ski resort Oberaschau is also close to Lambach Austria and has two t-bar lifts as well as a children’s lift. The five snow cannons and the floodlighting system provide fun on the slopes at all times! You can also do cross-country skiing and downhill skiing here. You can get some refreshments and snacks in the ski hut during your wintery sports day in Oberaschau. By the way, from time to time you can also register for skiing classes.

2. Ski lift Eberschwang

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 30 minutes by car

Address: Albertsham 5 Marienberg, 4906 Eberschwang

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 1 pm to 8:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 8:30 pm (December to April)

The ski resort Eberschwang is equipped with one long t-bar lift and a children’s lift. There are two red slopes for more experienced skiers and two blue slopes for beginners. All slopes are equipped with snowmaking and floodlighting systems so that you can ski at all times and independent of weather conditions. This ski resort is perfect for a day trip from Lambach!

3. Raml Lift Molln

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 45 minutes by car

Address: Zinken 10, 4591 Molln

Opening hours: Wednesday to Friday 1 pm to 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 4 pm (December to March)

The small ski resort Molln has three ski lifts: a rope lift, a children’s lift and a pulling rug. You can check on their website whether the lifts are opened due to the weather conditions. These slopes are perfect for anybody who is new to skiing or snowboarding.  There are skiing classes for children during Christmas break.

4. Family ski resort Feuerkogel

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 45 minutes by car

Address: R.-Ippisch-Platz 4, 4802 Ebensee

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (middle of December to April)

In the family ski resort Feuerkogel, the most beautiful high plateau in Upper Austria, skiers and snowboarders will be happy. Three skiing lifts and four t-bar lifts will take you up the mountain where you can choose among 9 blue, 4 red and 2 black slopes. There is also a 6 km long unprepared ski slope for experienced skiers. There is also a number of ski huts where you can warm up and get some snacks.

5. Brandtner Ski lifts

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 50 minutes by car

Address: Dorf 8, 4081 Dorf

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 9 am to 8 pm (December to March)

The Brandtner ski lifts, including a children’s lift and t-bar lift, will take you to the children’s slope or Langwies slope. Their Facebook page delivers up-to-date information on the weather dependent opening hours of the lifts. In this ski resort near Lambach, events, such as ski bazars or mulled wine stands, are organised. Children can also take ski classes and there is a ski race team in this ski resort.

6. Laimer ski lift St. Gilgen

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 60 minutes by car

Address: Laim, 5340 St. Gilgen

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 1 pm to 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm (November/December to March/April)

Right next to the Wolfgang’s lake in the region Salzkammergut is a small ski resort on the Zwölferhorn mountain with one t-bar lift. The slopes at Laimer ski lift St. Gilgen are perfect for beginners and children. In this ski resort, you have 0.6 km of fun ski slopes. The ski resort is only open if there is enough snow. You can find information regarding the weather dependent opening hours on their Facebook page. In the small ski hut Sausteigalm, you can get some refreshments and snacks.

7. Family ski resort Kasberg – Almtal

Travel time from Lambach: ca. 50 minutes by car

Address: Schindlbach 9, 4645 Grünau im Almtal

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 9 am to 4 pm (beginning of December to beginning of April)

The Family ski resort Kasberg is appropriate for all ages and offers affordable winter sports. You can have fun at the Funpark and ski down 23 km of blue, red and black skiing slopes. In this ski resort in the middle of Upper Austria, you can use 14 ski lifts. At the ski resort Almtal, culinary services are also highly valued. The cooks will provide you with delicious meals and traditional dishes. Slope walking and snowshoeing can also be done in this ski resort.
